Steps:
Step 1:
Register for Second Shot on the
Microsoft web site and receive an exam
voucher number.
Step 2:
Using the voucher number, you will
schedule and pay for initial exam via
Prometric's web site, call center or
MISNet Education. (Must have the
voucher number available prior to
registering.)
Step 3:
Take the exam.
Step 4:
If you fail, register for free retake
exam via Prometric's web site, call
center or MISNet Education using the
same voucher number. Note: You must wait
one day after the failed exam to
register to allow for test result to be
entered into the system.

The First to Know campaign includes five
Visual Studio 2008 exams and two SQL
Server 2008 exams. The five Visual
Studio 2008 certification exams have
already been released. If you register
for the First to Know campaign from
August 4, 2008, through September 29,
2008, you will only be notified of (and
receive a promotion code for) the two
SQL Server 2008 exams.
