About BRPT and the RPSGT Examination
The
Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT) is an
independent, nonprofit certification board that cultivates the
highest professional and ethical standards for polysomnographic
technologists by providing an internationally recognized
credential � the Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT).
2006 RPSGT Exam Dates:
- March 27-April 8
- June 26-July 8
- September 18-29
- December 4-19
Note: You must first apply � and have your application approved by the BRPT � prior to contacting Pearson VUE and scheduling your exam.

Important Information
Once your application has been approved by BRPT:
You may schedule your exam online or by telephone. Online
scheduling is available 24 hours a day, but requires a brief (24
hours at most) delay for setting up your account. Telephone
scheduling at 1-877-733-3926 may proceed without delay, but only
during business hours, Monday-Friday,
Have Your Information Available
Whichever scheduling method you choose, have your Candidate
Status Report at hand when going online or calling to
schedule. You will be asked to verify your name, address and
other identifying information and to provide your Candidate ID
number and exam name from the Candidate Status Report.
If the name/address information you originally provided BRPT is
no longer accurate, you must resolve the discrepancies with the
BRPT before you arrive at the test center.
Confirm Your Scheduling Information
Write the date, time, confirmation number and location for your
test on the back of the Candidate Status Report.
Pearson VUE will email, fax or mail (your preference) a letter
confirming the appointment. The letter will include the address,
phone number and directions to the test center, as well as the
name, date and time of your exam and other information. Driving
directions are also available on this Web site.
